Like a young bird yet to find the courage to lift its wings, Fúsi (43) lives alone with his mother, where they've always lived.

Fifty-year-old Halla is secretly waging a one-woman-war on the local aluminium industry, engaging in everything from petty vandalism to outright industrial sabotage. But then, she receives notice that her application to adopt a child has finally been accepted and there is a little girl waiting for her in Ukraine. As Halla prepares to abandon her role as saviour of the Highlands, she decides to carry out one final attack to deal the aluminium industry a crippling blow.

A widowed farmer begins a new life on her own terms by fighting against corruption and injustice in her community.

In a secluded valley in Iceland, Gummi and Kiddi live side by side, tending to their sheep. Their ancestral sheep-stock is considered one of the country's best and the two brothers are repeatedly awarded for their prized rams who carry an ancient lineage. Although they share the land and a way of life, Gummi and Kiddi have not spoken to each other in four decades. When a lethal disease suddenly infects Kiddi's sheep, the entire valley comes under threat. The authorities decide to cull all the animals in the area to contain the outbreak. This is a near death sentence for the farmers, whose sheep are their main source of income, and many abandon their land. But Gummi and Kiddi don't give up so easily - and each brother tries to stave off the disaster in his own fashion: Kiddi by using his rifle and Gummi by using his wits. As the authorities close in the brothers will need to come together to save the special breed passed down for generations, and themselves, from extinction

Sarah is a London career woman in her forties who suffers from an uncontrollable fear of flying that she doesn't tell anyone about. To avoid ruining her planned vacation with her new boyfriend, she secretly attends a course to help her overcome her panic. But theory is followed by practice: before Sarah knows it, she finds herself on a plane to Reykjavík with the inexperienced course instructor and a motley crew of fellow sufferers. As expected, the trip quickly gets out of hand. Lydia Leonard, Timothy Spall and Ella Rumpf shine as members of an angst-ridden community in this wacky black comedy. Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson's ensemble film is great fun that astutely analyzes our society and shows that sometimes you have to let go together in order to take off.
