A man (Pedro Pascal) rides a horse across the desert that separates him from Bitter Creek. He comes to visit Sheriff Jake (Ethan Hawke). Twenty-five years earlier, both the sheriff and Silva, the rancher who rides out to meet him, worked together as hired gunmen. Silva visits him with the excuse of reuniting with his friend from his youth, and they do indeed celebrate their meeting, but the next morning Sheriff Jake tells him that the reason for his trip is not to go down the memory lane of their old friendship... Pedro Almodóvar's short film – marking his second English-language effort – premiered in Cannes in 2023 and landed on the Oscar shortlist in the "Best Live Action Short Film" category in 2024.

Two women, Janis (Penélope Cruz) and Ana (Milena Smit), coincide in a hospital room where they are going to give birth. Both are single and became pregnant by accident. The film is carried by Sofía Otero, who was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actress at this year's Berlinale for her portrayal of Cocó.
