Marianne, a pragmatic doctor, and Tor, a sensitive nurse, have little in common with traditional relationship models. After an unsuccessful blind date, Marianne meets Tor by chance on the last ferry of the evening. Tor, who often travels there in search of non-committal encounters with men, tells her openly about his experiences with spontaneous intimacy. His informal attitude fascinates Marianne - and makes her wonder for the first time whether physical closeness without emotional attachment might be possible for her too.

A romantic film that explores sexuality, relationships and love with a delicate touch. The focus is on the human need for physical and emotional closeness - beyond the usual social norms that characterise the traditional understanding of relationships. «Love» is part of the Oslo Stories by director Dag Johan Haugerud. Other films in the trilogy are «Dreams» and «Sex».
