Director Ale and actor Alex decide to go their separate ways after fifteen years together. And that calls for a celebration – at least if you believe an old saying from Ale’s father, who always claimed that breakups, not weddings, are the real reason to celebrate. Their close friends and family, however, assume the announcement is a bad joke. All the more determined is the former couple to convince everyone of the end of their relationship with a farewell party – especially themselves.

Spanish filmmaker Jonás Trueba tells a story of love fading and reawakening in his distinctive style, marked by gentle melancholy and subtle wit. His film is a highly entertaining homage to the magic of the moment and to cinema itself. Itsaso Arana and Vito Sanz portray the couple with touching dedication and laconic ease.
