77-year-old Tereza lives in a small industrial town in the Amazon region. One day, the authorities order her to move to a remote senior colony. It is clear: the older generation is to be removed from public life so that the younger generation can focus entirely on productivity and economic growth. Tereza, however, refuses to accept this fate. Instead, she sets out on a journey, venturing deeper and deeper into the Amazon to fulfill one final wish.

Director Gabriel Mascaro tells a compelling story of resistance, dignity, and the pursuit of self-determination. The visually stunning film had its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was awarded the Grand Jury Prize (Silver Bear).
