Night Train to Lisbon

One day, Latin teacher Raimund Gregorius encounters a mysterious Portuguese woman who is about to throw herself off a bridge. He intervenes decisively and saves her life. He takes her to the school, but she soon vanishes without a trace. All that remains is her jacket, in which Raimund finds a book by a Portuguese author and a train ticket to Lisbon. Leaving everything behind, he boards the night train to Lisbon to uncover the identity of the enigmatic writer, whose work explores exactly the questions that have occupied him for years.
