Zodi, a twelve-year-old nomad boy, discovers an abandoned young dromedary in the desert. Without hesitation, he takes the camel in, names it Téhu, and finds in it his best friend. When Zodi learns from the veterinarian Julia that Téhu is an exceptional runner and could bring great wealth to his tribe, the two find themselves in danger. The young dromedary’s remarkable abilities have attracted the interest of Tarek, the region’s poacher. To prevent Téhu from being sold, Zodi decides to flee and cross the Sahara – with the goal of entering Téhu in the world’s largest camel race in Abu Dhabi.
