After «La Panthère des neiges», wildlife photographer Vincent Munier once again takes us on a breathtakingly beautiful journey. Deep in the forests of the Vosges, he learned from his father how to read the traces of animals and to explore where they feed, hunt, build their nests, and sleep. Now the time has come to pass this knowledge on to Simon, Vincent’s son. Together, the three of them set out to discover the diversity and enchanting beauty of the ancient, moss-covered forest.

Hidden beneath the trees, grandfather, father, and son spend many nights outdoors – observing, listening to the rich tapestry of sounds. Alongside them, we encounter deer, owls, foxes, and lynxes and sometimes even catch the wingbeat of a very rare creature: the capercaillie. «Le Chant des forêts» builds a bridge between humans and nature, day and night, the personal and the universal: a visually stunning, sensual cinematic poem.
