Seventeen-year-old Ainara comes from a wealthy family and attends a Catholic high school in Bilbao. Just before her final exams and the decision about her future, she surprises her family with a radical choice: she wants to enter a convent and become a nun. While her father accepts her decision, her aunt Maite suspects that the sudden calling may conceal a deeper issue.

Writer and director Alauda Ruiz de Azúa elegantly blends a coming-of-age story with a crisis of faith. Told from the perspective of a young woman, the film explores family tensions, the search for identity, and the need for direction. The film was awarded the Golden Shell, the top prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
