The architect and artist Bryan Cyril Thurston campaigned for 20 years with his art against a reservoir on this magnificent plateau. At the time, his saying "only poetry can save the Greina" seemed rather abstruse to his son. But today he finds an unexpected strength in it. Everyone wants beauty!

During the Second World War, Anne Frank wrote in her diary to her imaginary friend Kitty. 75 years later, Kitty magically comes to life. Confused, and with the diary in her hand, the 13-year-old girl goes in search of Anne in modern-day Amsterdam, but is only laughed at for her research. The only one willing to help is the pickpocket Peter. Through him, Kitty learns how migrants to the country are marginalised or have to wait in camps for deportation. Horrified, she hatches a plan to help them. In this original and magnificently animated film, director Ari Folman brings the story of Anne Frank back to life, and reminds us that her message has not lost its relevance in today's refugee crisis.

Music enthusiast Duncan (Chris O'Dowd) is pretty much obsessed with singer-songwriter Tucker Crowe (Ethan Hawke), who, after two decades, finally releases a new album with "Juliet, Naked". But when Duncan's girlfriend Annie (Rose Byrne) listens to the new songs first and on her own, she can't get much out of them, which makes Duncan furious. While he publishes a euphoric review on his fan website after listening to the album, Annie writes an article in which she scathes the record - whereupon Crowe finally contacts her personally. Director Todd Haynes ("Dark Waters") adapts the successful novel by Patricia Highsmith, which was first published in 1952 under the title "The Price of Salt" and (then later re-published as "Carol"), which the author denied writing until 1989. In the leading roles, Oscar winner Cate Blanchett as the modern Greta Garbo is her usual impressive self though the real sensation is Rooney Mara, who finally made her breakthrough with her portrayal of a character that would probably have been played by Audrey Hepburn in classic Hollywood.

Minna’s life is turned upside down when her dad’s new fiancée Helena and her daughter Jenny move in. Her new stepsister Jenny turns out to be horrible and Minna is frustrated. She wants her gone! One night, Minna discovers a world behind her dreams in which the dreambuilders create our dreams on theater stages and finds out how to manipulate Jenny’s dreams. But interfering with people’s dreams has dire consequences and when Minna goes too far one night, Jenny can’t wake up any more. Minna must enter the dream world one final time to face the dreams she has created in order to save Jenny and her new family.

Director Erwan Le Duc walks a fine line between slapstick and emotion and manages to walk it throughout the film without giving in to cheap effects. Formally innovative and rhythmically told, the film surprises with its poetic lightness.

From 1962 to 1972, Landrían made numerous documentaries for the Cuban state film institute (ICAIC), including commissioned works for revolutionary propaganda. Landrián was a free spirit. "The system" tormented, punished and ostracized him, his work was censored. Fifty years later, part of it has been found and rescued. The initiator of this project is filmmaker Ernesto Daranas, who has dedicated a feature-length documentary to his compatriot in addition to restoring his film work: Landrián. The restoration of Nicolás Guillén Landrián's documentaries brings to light his lost legacy and the dark truths about the censorship of his work by the Cuban revolution. trigon-film and filmingo present the following 7 short films: 1. Nicolás Guillén Landrián was an original, a stupendous documentary filmmaker and painter whose name and work – for a long time – were only remembered by insiders in Cuba. Successful Cuban director Ernesto Daranas ("Conducta") has now dedicated a film to the talented, long-forgotten first black filmmaker in Cuba: an approach to the artist, his work and his life, as well as a documentary about the search for and rescue of film material that had almost been lost. At the same time, Landrián shows in exemplary fashion how the Cuba of the Castros treats people who step out of line. Ernesto Daranas not only created the documentary film "Landrián", but also found and painstakingly restored ten short films. The restoration of Nicolás Guillén Landrián’s documentaries unearths the lost legacy of Cuba’s first black filmmaker and the dark truths surrounding the censorship of his work by the Cuban Revolution.
